Field Trip

I know I haven't updated in a few days.  Its been a little hectic in the Small household, well for me anyways.  I am catching up and getting Halloween bow and tutu orders made and mailed.  God has really blessed my business.

Anyway on to the topic at hand, a field trip.  Today I took my Ashy girl on her 1st school field trip.  Ashlynn attends a wonderful Christian preschool.  West Nash Preschool has an amazing staff of teachers and assistants who love the children and they are great at what they do.  Today was the class preschool trip to Deans Farm.  Although, we went to a similar farm on Sunday this was a trip I will always remember.  This was the 1st of many school field trips.  The 1st school field trip, when did my little lady get so big.  Its hard to believe we only have 4 year preschool left then its elementary school.  I really took in every moment with Ashlynn today.  I loved having her all to myself today and I loved watching her have so much fun.  I think she felt special today to have mommy all to herself and have all her friends to play with.

Dean farm was fun, there isn't as much as Hillridge Farms but still fun.  Ashlynn loves hayrides. When it came time to pick her pumpkin, she thought she was stealing the pumpkins because she already picked some at the other pumpkin patch.  She is so cute and such a big girl.  When did my little baby grow up?

Hillridge Farms

We took our annual trip to Hillridge farms.  We really love going to Hillridge farms because there is so much to do and they have some of the best prices too!  Ashlynn loves to go to the "pumpkin patch".  There is the big slide, the hay jump, corn kernel jump, 2 bouncy houses, train ride, pony rides, you can feed the animals, 2 different mazes, a fort to explore, a cool tepee (sp) to explore, tunnels to crawl through, and who can forget the hayride and pumpkin picking.  It was so much fun this year especially because Everett was old enough to join in the festivities and My brother and nephew joined us.  I loved having the whole family together Ashlynn, Everett, and their cousin Ben always have so much fun playing together.  My sister, Brother, and I really had a good time too.  The best part was watching Ashlynn and Everett in the hay jump and I would almost bet they would tell you that was their favorite part!!!  I think that it is very important to do fun things with your children as a family.  They activities don't have to cost a dime. The time together is the most important part. So anytime we get the opportunity to take the kids somewhere we jump at that chance.  Don works a lot during the week so we try to fill our weekends with stuff to do with our children.  Let's face it they won't be children forever and we will never be able to get this time back.  So whether we are building blanket forts in our living room, playing at the park, or taking the kiddos on a trip somewhere I think my favorite memories are the weekends spent doing things with Don, Ash, and Ev man.
